Anthem (Chess)

~ Have fun learning to sing in the comfort of your own home! No commitment necessary, drop-ins welcome.

~ Mondays 7:30-8:30pm (Pacific Standard Time, UTC -8).

~ Each class is $10 and taught through Zoom. Payment is made by credit card, PayPal, or Venmo.

~ Each class consists of about 20 minutes of breathwork and vocal exercises followed by 40 minutes of exploring the above songs. We learn, or build the songs into our voice and body, using the same method I use for myself. I break each song down to its technical and emotional elements. People describe finding the songs much easier and more fun to sing.

~ New songs are added on a regular basis.

~ Students are muted, so everyone can clearly hear the piano and my demonstrations. I use the gallery view, so I can observe everyone as they sing and warn of things like shoulder tension. You may also hide your video.

~ I regularly check in with the group to see if there are any questions or comments. Not sure if you're doing an exercise correctly? I'll unmute you so you can give it a go and receive feedback.*

~ Register by signing into the student portal. On the calendar, select the class you'd like to attend and click "register."

~ When it's time for the class, login to the student portal calendar and click the "Zoom Class" link on the event. Or, click the link in the reminder email sent 48 hours before the event.

~ You may join the Zoom Class 10 minutes before the class begins. Initially, you'll be in a Zoom "waiting room." This is so I can take attendance and ensure there are no interlopers.

~ If you register for the class but don't attend, there is no charge. You are only charged if you attend the class. However, once I've admitted you from the "waiting room" to the class, you will be charged the full $10, even if you leave early.
